Of Mice and Men

Hello, from sunny Barcelona and thanks for stopping by.

I have just finished rereading of Mice and Men. I originally read it in school, but as it was…school and I did not take much interest, apart from passing the dreaded exams. However, my second attempt being much much older has thrown a light on what a wonderful book it is.

What I love most is the character’s dialogue-‘An’ have rabbits? – that made you empathize and feel the struggle they are going through. The dreams that drove them on and the idea of freedom. Is this not the same for most people now?

Yet it’s the friendship that George and Lennie had and what they did for each other, that was above all they could have found elsewhere.

I recommend reading it if you get a chance.
